You are more than your symptoms, and your healing is more than a formula. At Crux, we honor the intelligence of the body, the power of the mind and the energy that connects it all. Here, clinical excellence meets a spirit of discovery. Care is both grounded and visionary, so you can reclaim movement, resilience and ease in every part of your life.
Jillian Rockoff Sykes, PT, DPT, CYT
At the heart of Crux is Jillian Rockoff Sykes—a clinician, athlete, mother and tireless explorer of what it means to heal. With over two decades in clinical practice and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the MGH Institute of Health Professions, Jill brings both expertise and a rare curiosity to her work. She completed a fellowship in Harvard’s sports medicine department, working alongside Dr. Dan Dyrek, one of the nation’s leading minds in orthopedic manual therapy. That experience didn’t just hone her technical skill—it deepened her ability to listen, to adapt and to see each patient as a full human being.
Jill’s story is one of constant movement—on the field, in the clinic and across the globe in pursuit of knowledge. A lifelong athlete, she captained three varsity teams at Thayer Academy and played Division I ice hockey at Dartmouth, where she won two Ivy League and two ECAC championships and competed in three NCAA Frozen Fours. Her love for movement and the body’s potential is matched only by her drive to understand the deeper layers of health. Over the past seven years, as owner of OMPTS, Jill has expanded her reach: earning 200 hours as a certified yoga teacher, completing advanced trainings in yin yoga, pranayama and yoga nidra and traveling to Denmark and Colorado for specialized study in breathwork and advanced dry needling—including the auricular branch of the vagus nerve.
Jill’s approach is grounded in clinical excellence, but it’s never limited to the physical. She sees the body as one layer of a far more complex being. From guiding athletes through pivotal moments, to supporting clients through subtle shifts, she meets each person at their crux—the essential turning point where real change happens. Her work blends hands-on physical therapy, conscious breathwork and a deep, attentive presence. Whether she’s coaching youth sports in Scituate, kitesurfing on Cape Cod, or hiking the White Mountains with her family, Jill brings that same warmth and curiosity into every session.
At Crux, Jill is redefining what it means to be an expert. It’s not just about degrees or accolades—though she has plenty. It’s the art of showing up fully, asking the right questions and believing that every person has the power to move forward. Her care honors what can be measured and what can only be sensed. She sees the whole of you and helps you circle your crux, rewrite your story and step into what’s possible—on every level.
Crux isn’t just a name. It’s Jill’s philosophy: Focus on the pivotal moment, bring skill and presence to the turning point and trust that real transformation is always within reach.
